1990

In early 1990, Mr. Lu Jialian founded Lianhe Qiang, guided by the original vision of unity, self-improvement, and quality, setting industry standards and leading innovation in the architectural curtain wall and window‑door sealing sectors. From the outset, the company swiftly captured the Hong Kong and Singapore markets with high‑quality products that met British and American standards.

1997

In 1997, Lianheqiang entered into a strategic partnership with the U.S.-based AES Corporation and successfully hosted a specialized seminar on TPV thermoplastic EPDM materials at the Shangri-La Hotel in Shenzhen, officially introducing Santoprene materials to the domestic market. This move was widely hailed within the industry as a groundbreaking innovation that propelled the domestic architectural curtain wall and window/door sealing strip sector into a new era.

2000

In 2000, the company introduced a suite of advanced, imported instruments and equipment specifically designed for the curtain wall industry, both domestically and internationally, while attracting top-tier talent. Simultaneously, it completed upgrades to its technology and production capacity: the laboratory was officially upgraded to a testing center, and the technical department was restructured into an R&D center. On the production side, the company fully established extrusion workshops for sealant strips, plastic extrusion, and rubber molding and vulcanization, and refined its production lines for silicone rubber, EPDM rubber, chloroprene rubber, and thermoplastic rubber strips, as well as specialized lines for expansion joint rubber, rigid and flexible PVC, nylon thermal‑break strips, and PE composite sealant strips. This enabled the company to build a comprehensive product portfolio, covering all types of sealant strip materials required by the architectural curtain wall and window/door industries.

2004

In 2004, the company collaborated with the China Academy of Building Research to develop and publish the country’s first industry standard for expansion joints—the “Atlas of Architectural Details for Expansion Joints.” At the same time, it independently developed China’s first dedicated testing instrument for expansion joints, along with corresponding test methods, thereby filling a critical gap in the industry.

2007

In 2007, Lianheqiang’s sealing strips were successfully deployed in a series of major national landmark projects, including the National Stadium (the Bird’s Nest), the new headquarters of China Central Television, Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3, and the National Convention Center. The company’s technical expertise and product quality earned high‑level recognition from authoritative sources, marking a pivotal period of brand elevation and establishing its position as an industry leader. During this time, both the company’s scale and its influence within the sector grew rapidly. For its outstanding performance on the Bird’s Nest project, the company was awarded the Luban Prize—the highest honor in China’s construction industry. On the CCTV project, it further set a new industry record with a landmark order, sending shockwaves throughout the sector.

2008

In 2008, Lianheqiang achieved a leap from a domestic leader to a world-class supplier, with its sealant strips successfully deployed in the Burj Khalifa—the world’s tallest building—marking the brand’s official entry into the global high-end industrial chain and a solid step forward in its global expansion.

2014

In 2014, Lianheqiang leveraged its outstanding product quality and technological edge to win the bid for Shenzhen’s tallest skyscraper, the Ping An Finance Centre, further cementing its status as an industry benchmark in R&D and quality management and strengthening its core competitiveness in the high-end building‑sealing sector.

2016

In 2016, the company invested RMB 90 million to acquire land in Zhongshan, building a state-of-the-art, high-standard headquarters and production base, and is committed to becoming a global benchmark enterprise for premium curtain wall and window sealing strips—integrating cutting-edge technology, lean manufacturing, and sustainable operations.

2018

In 2018, Lianhe Qiang provided robust support for the construction of the Merdeka 118 tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Standing at 678.9 meters, this iconic landmark is not only the tallest building in Southeast Asia but also ranks second globally, once again underscoring Lianhe Qiang’s exceptional quality and industry-leading expertise through its adherence to the most stringent, top-tier construction standards.

2019

On October 1, 2019, Lianhe Qiang sealing strips empowered a major national project, marking the grand military parade celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Crafted with meticulous care in an exclusive shade of red, the product has been hailed as the “Chinese Red Ribbon,” etching a proud legacy that aligns the brand’s journey with the nation’s aspirations.

2020

In 2020, the company successfully won the bid for the Egypt New Administrative Capital CBD project, a key initiative under the Belt and Road Initiative. As a core supplier, Lianheqiang provided sealing strip products accounting for over 70% of the project’s requirements.

2025

In 2025, Lianheqiang remains committed to craftsmanship and meticulous quality, upholding the mission of “Made in China” with uncompromising standards. Leveraging its deep-rooted expertise, the company has made a bold foray into the global high‑end landmark market, successfully securing the contract for the Jeddah Tower—the world’s tallest building at 1,008 meters—thus officially embarking on a new journey: from China’s Lianheqiang to a globally recognized leader.
