3. Performance Characteristics
The "seamless connection" style of the expansion joint significantly corrects the height difference between the cover plate and the base, reducing the amplitude of vibrations during daily use. Compared to other ordinary cover plate styles, it is more aesthetically pleasing and practical. The expansion joint device incorporates a thermally melt-weldable, highly elastic rubber component - thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV), which, when combined, provides greater expansion capabilities and allows for seamless connections and welded corners, playing a key role in water stopping; specially formulated rubber can also achieve fire resistance.
